Brittany is a third-year law student at Columbia University Law School. Her passion in support of anti-trafficking began with advocacy work during her time at McGill University. As a native of Canada, Brittany then worked as an intern in the Ontario Provincial government where she researched and drafted anti-trafficking legislation for the province. At Columbia Law School, she is the Coordinate for the Human Rights Institute 1L Advocates Program and runs Columbia’s student organization aimed at policy advocacy around violence against women issues. Brittany hopes to work with legislators to create appropriate legislation that will help survivors of trafficking or gender-based violence and other vulnerable groups attain justice.
